Mandy Connell (Vic)

Mandy Connell is a folk festival favourite. She’s quick, bright-hearted and liable to break into song mid-sentence. On stage she conjures up moods with an ease that comes from living her music. “I identify as folk,” she says. “If there was an ethnic group you could call folk, that would be me. I’m there. I grew up in it, and I’ve always called myself folk… since before banjos were on t-shirts

Andy and Marta (SA)

Drawing from a deep well of influences and experiences, Andy and Marta pour out their songs with an ear for sifting out the true and essential elements. Rich, emotive vocals overlap and intersect with intricate, rhythmic and soulful guitars, fingerpicking the heart.

Mike and Dee (SA)

  Dee Trewartha and Mike O’Callaghan decided they liked each other’s songs and company enough to play a few gigs together with great success at selected venues and festivals around the state.  Dee, more recognised as one half of the amazing duo The Fiddle Chicks, as well as numerous other musical collaborations, and Mike previously with Country Express, Colcannon and Munro, O’Callaghan and Titchener, play mostly their own material ranging in style from contemporary to country and blues. Add in a few Dee and Mike flavoured select covers, some fiddle, mandola, acoustic guitar and concert ukulele, top it off with some fantastic folky harmonies by two well seasoned performers and you’re in for a tasty treat!
