LUCAS CAVANAGH & THE TRAIN WRECKS @ FLOW BAR
LC&TTW: Australian Western
LC&TTW are working on new material: a conceptual body of work coined 'Australian Western' by Lucas himself. This collection of songs will be road-tested at the infamous beachside vibes shack that is Flow Bar — where one feels the beauty of the coastal breeze but is also reminded of the almighty ocean's gravitas.
'Australian Western' is a story of commitment, of love — falling into it, then breaking out of it. The songs were written in that order but are played in reverse. It’s not a breakup album; it snapshots a relationship as it blossoms and then shrivels. The beauty, and the gravitas.
The electric guitars are being packed away, the classic Fender bass back in its case — replaced by an acoustic 4‑string. Drumsticks back in the bag, brushes and broomsticks the weapon of choice. But the boots and hats will remain. A new direction, a new sense of sound, a new door opening for the band.

Bio
Wingham's very own contemporary Rock N Roll band, Lucas Cavanagh & The Train Wrecks brings a Nashville-inspired sound — a delectable gumbo of rock and alt‑country with shades of psychedelia, underpinned by Australiana roots and Americana songwriting traditions. A diverse, dynamic, and deceivingly daring musical Venn diagram.
Making a delightful racket reminiscent of Hunters & Collectors, The Clash, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, and The Cars, the band consists of Lucas Cavanagh (guitar and lead vocals), Isaac Warner (guitar and backing vocals), Ryder Eyb (drums and backing vocals), and Riley Brown (bass).
Since July 2025, the band has gone on a 9‑date tour of New South Wales, independently released two singles, supported Pacific Avenue and James Bennett, played Old Bar Beach Festival and Wingham Music Festival Flood Recovery 2025, and performed ticketed headline shows statewide.
2026 will see LC&TTW finishing an album’s worth of recorded material, working on new ‘Australian Western’ songs, and focusing on exclusive local performances — including Wingham Show, an acoustic showcase at Flow Bar, Djarii Bila Festival in Taree, and Winter Solstice Blues Festival at Longview Farm.
